Our client is a global specialized manufacturer of industrial solutions and commissioning projects for clients worldwide. They are headquartered in Europe but operate locally amongst other global locations.

Role Objective
The General Manager of Operations oversees operational objectives aligned with the strategic plan, ensuring efficient processes and high-quality output while prioritizing safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership:
Manage day-to-day operations to optimize performance by promoting operational excellence.
Foster seamless collaboration between the head office and the Australian production facility.
Develop strategies to boost productivity, minimize downtime, cut costs, and uphold industry standards.
Direct the formulation and execution of strategic and operational plans, emphasizing quality service delivery.
Cultivate a culture of accountability, providing guidance and mentorship for team development.
Lead recruitment, performance management, and skill enhancement initiatives for the Australian team.
Communicate and negotiate changes effectively with stakeholders, identifying growth opportunities and process enhancements.
Aid in financial planning, budgeting, and monitoring for the site.
Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures, presenting regular progress reports to the CEO.
Drive procurement efforts for operational assets, adhering to company protocols.
Assess program cost-effectiveness and implement measures to enhance productivity and service quality.
Human Resources:
Support daily HR functions and training initiatives, fostering personal and professional growth.
Oversee performance management processes, ensuring accountability and documentation.
Work Health & Safety:
Lead the implementation of the company's Work Health and Safety policies.
Ensure compliance with WH&S regulations and maintain a safe work environment.
Report incidents, hazards, and near misses, taking corrective action as needed to mitigate risks.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
At least 7 years of experience in leading manufacturing companies, preferably in mechanical engineering.
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering Business Administration, or similar.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making.
Knowledge of budgeting, financial management, and business operations.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
Effective prioritization and delegation skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for cross-functional collaboration.
Thorough understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Salary and Work Rights
$180K - $210K + 11.5% Super + $12000 Car Allowance + Bonus scheme offered (post probation)
