What does the role involve?
The goal is optimal performance and availability of assets. Your role will be across all aspects of asset management focusing on maintenance and reliability techniques to improve asset availability at reduced costs. There will be opportunities to get involved in improvement projects that are core to continued success. Depending on scale, you will lead or be a project member as we aim to optimize performance for our clients. As a Maintenance & Reliability Engineer you will:
Develop maintenance strategies for internal and external clients
Implement maintenance optimization of existing equipment
Carry out downtime analysis gathering and interpreting data
Assist in performing maintenance management and system audits
Carry out criticality analysis of process plants
Facilitate and/or assist in failure investigations and root cause analysis activities
Prepare inspection, maintenance and reliability reports
Identify maintenance and reliability opportunities for clients to reduce cost and improve asset uptime
About you:
You have 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar asset management role in mining or related heavy industry, ideally both fixed plant and mobile equipment.
You have a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical).
You enjoy the challenge of solving problems and analyzing data.
You are great at building relationships and managing stakeholders.
You have used one or more maintenance management systems and are comfortable with systems in general.
You have technical knowledge (theory or practice) of mechanical/structural vibrations and dynamics, condition monitoring activities and lubrication management and systems.
You are committed to safe work practices and compliance.
You are willing and able to travel periodically to site (approx. once per month)
