Job Description
As the Head of Procurement, you will take ownership of the team and the function with a focus on the following;
Lead a procurement transformation with a view to creating a more commercial and technology driven function
Identify and execute the procurement strategy with a focus on sourcing, category management and contracts delivery
As part of the procurement strategy, you will look at the options of centralisation among other plans to create a more strategic environment
Help to oversee and project manage a software and technology implementation
Build and develop the existing team with a view to upskilling and driving cultural change
Lead a range of continuous improvement activities with a focus integrating the procurement function with other critical parts of the business
Lead the stakeholder engagement activities to ensure there is a commercial and collaborative approach to procurement relationship management internally and externally
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will demonstrate extensive experience in leading a complex and challenging procurement function. You will have a track record in leading transformation activities across people, culture, technology and processes among other areas.
You will have the ability to influence critical internal stakeholders through a period of centralisation and other key change management activities.
You will ideally have been involved in a technology implementation including the project management and roll out.
Furthermore, candidates with exposure to procurement in the areas of infrastructure, capital works, professional services and maintenance will be looked upon favourably.
