The Manager Capability and Development is responsible for leading planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of the Department’s learning and development strategy to drive capability uplift and achieve workforce excellence objectives.
This role oversees team resources—including people, budgets, assets, and information—and provides expert advice on adult learning principles, program design, and delivery. It leads the development and implementation of workforce employment programs, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities.
The position fosters strong stakeholder collaboration and works closely across the broader People and Culture function to implement the Department’s performance management and development strategy. It also designs and delivers initiatives that support workforce diversity objectives and promote a culture of continuous growth and improvement.
There is one permanent, full-time opportunity available for appointment. This process may be used to fill future similar permanent or fixed-term positions that may arise within the Department and across the WA public sector in the next 12 months from the initial date of appointment.

To be successful for this position, you need to demonstrate:
