Our client is seeking to engage a Tax Manager on a Permanent, Full-time basis.
Location: Canberra, ACT
Mandatory Requirements: Applicants must be Australian Citizens.
MAIN DUTIES:
Reporting to the Group Finance Manager – Investments, the Tax Manager is responsible for the Group’s ongoing tax compliance, including but not limited to:
Review and lodgment of: Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS);
Fringe Benefits Tax returns;
Individual and Consolidated Tax returns;
ATO Top 500 Performance Program requirements;
Division 7A compliance;
UK Establishment and associated tax obligations;
Assist the Executives and Management with strategic tax advice and structuring options across the Group;
Advise the Group on changing tax legislation which will effect the Group, and identify and proactively manage the potential impact of tax changes;
Manage the relationships with the Group’s key external tax advisors;
Ensure the Group is managing its affairs in a tax effective manner.
All accounting requirements in a timely manner for various entities including but not limited to: Checking of coding and descriptions of accounts payable invoices in
RedMap along with authorisation of payment batches;
Communicate regularly with key personnel to gain an understanding of activities undertaken within the Group;
Monthly management financial reports;
Monthly cash flow reconciliations;
Analysis of financial, accounting and other data;
Monthly reconciliations of all balance sheet items, as directed;
Preparation of monthly BAS’s;
Preparation of the annual budget and other forecasts;
Maintain asset registers;
Year-end financial reporting requirements as scheduled by the Group Finance Manager – Investments, such as reconciliation of various accounts, preparation of financials and liaising with the auditors.
Any other ad hoc tasks as required by the Management team.
