As an Assistant Educator at Koobara Kindergarten, you will support the planning, implementation and evaluation of engaging, play-based learning experiences that reflect children's interests, strengths and emerging skills. Working alongside the Educational Leader, Teacher and educators, you will play an important role in supporting children's learning and development, building meaningful relationships with families, and contributing to a culture of collaboration, reflection and continuous improvement.
Support the planning, implementation and evaluation of engaging, play-based learning experiences that reflect children's interests, strengths and emerging skills.
Work collaboratively with the Educational Leader, Teacher and educators to deliver high-quality kindergarten programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG).
Foster warm, responsive and respectful relationships with children that support their wellbeing, agency, identity and learning.
Contribute to learning observations, documentation, assessment and reflective practice.
Support the creation of welcoming, inclusive and culturally responsive learning environments.
Build strong partnerships with families, recognising them as children's first and most important teachers.
Promote children's connection to culture, community and Country through meaningful learning experiences and community engagement.
Contribute to Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) priorities and ongoing service improvement initiatives.
Assist in maintaining a safe, healthy and nurturing environment that prioritises child safeguarding and wellbeing.
Support the day-to-day operation of the kindergarten, including supervision, preparation of learning environments and administrative tasks as required.
Approved Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent recognised qualification).
Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) or ability to obtain prior to commencement.
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications, or willingness to obtain.
Demonstrated experience working within an early childhood education and care setting.
Passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and families.
Confident contributing to curriculum planning, learning documentation and reflective practice.
Demonstrates initiative, flexibility and a willingness to support others.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, child safety and ethical practice.
