Montauk Tavern is looking for an experienced Front of House hospitality person to join our waterfront crew.

We’re not chasing fancy titles or someone looking to climb the corporate ladder.

We want a good pub person.

Someone who knows their way around a bar, understands TAB, KENO and gaming, enjoys talking to customers and regulars, and turns up with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who wants stability and a venue they can genuinely become part of.

You’ll ideally have solid pub or hospitality experience and be comfortable working across:

• Bar service
• TAB & KENO
• Gaming room
• Bistro and floor service
• Busy weekends and peak trade

You don't need to know everything — but you do need to be confident, willing to learn and happy to get stuck in wherever the team needs you.

Current RSA and RSG are required, along with relevant TA

About the Role

You’ll be part of the heartbeat of the tavern, delivering friendly, efficient service across

• Public Bar
• Gaming Room operations
• Busy trade periods, weekends and events
• Create memorable, relaxed guest experiences
• Keep the venue looking sharp and welcoming
• Support the team across bar & floor operations

About You

• Experience in a Duty Manager, Supervisor or Assistant Manager role within hospitality
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team
• Sound understanding of bar, bistro, TAB, KENO and gaming operations
• Confident using POS, rostering and reporting systems
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities
• Current RSA and RSG plus willingness to obtain RMLV and approved managers certificates
• Is confident, friendly, and great with regulars
• Handles busy service calmly and professionally
• Works well in a team and communicates clearly
• Takes pride in responsible, high-quality service
• Is looking for a stable pub role, not just a short-term gig
• Weekend & evening availability
• You’re hands-on, reliable, and thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting.
