Verve Partners are proud to support Power Control Engineers, one of the most progressive consultancies in Newcastle who offer design, consulting and project management services to its clients within the manufacturing, mining, food processing, construction, and heavy industrial sectors. Due to exponential success and growth, they are looking to appoint a Senior Electrical Engineer to complement their existing team.
Their electrical engineering services include power system modeling, HV/LV design, earthing/lightning protection, control systems and electrical audits.
The role is to provide direct technical input and customer support across a broad range of industrial power applications. Applicants will have a high level of technical expertise in electrical power systems, as well as developed skills in managing customer relationships and commercial outcomes.
The Role:
Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering
Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in industrial power system design
Proven experience leading projects and mentoring small teams of electrical engineering resources
Sound working knowledge of power system modeling
A proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships
Excellent report-writing and tendering/estimating skills
The ability to deliver commercial outcomes on technical projects
Working knowledge of software-assisted overhead line design, power tools for windows (PTW) and/or ETAP software packages
Working knowledge of earthing system design, protection coordination, HV Substation design experience up to 132KV
Registered Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng)
Knowledge of and contacts within the local Newcastle market
