ABOUT THE ROLE
Fresh Start seeks to appoint an outstanding Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead their team. This role will be directly reporting to the Board of Directors. With an understanding of the healthcare field, you will champion a culture of hope and healing while overseeing strategic initiatives that drive high-quality and cost-effective management. Your advocacy will inspire real change.
The key responsibilities include:
Strategic Management: Design, refine and execute plans to achieve objectives (i.e. long-term goals, prioritisation, and new initiatives).
People Management: Oversee authorised personnel by liaising with 8+ managers and ensuring strict adherence to policies and procedures.
Financial Management: Plan annual budget, develop fundraisers (i.e. grants, research funding), implement social enterprise and maintain positive cash flow.
Risk Management: Certify that all programs are legally licensed and accredited annually per the risk management plan.
Facility Management: Oversee physical infrastructure at all locations that comply with WHS standards (i.e. Commute between Subiaco and Northam bases).
Spokesperson : Manage public relations, represent Fresh Start at events, and communicate the mission positively to all stakeholders (including online).
Support Board of Directors: Update the board quarterly (provide policy recommendations) and prepare an annual report for the Medical Health Commission (MHC) in accordance with ACNC.
The above is not an exhaustive list of duties. You will be expected to perform different tasks to meet the organisation’s overall objectives.
ABOUT YOU
Ideal skills:
Have:
At least five years of experience in a similar position with proven success.
Background in AOD, Medical Practice, Allied Health, or clinical knowledge of treatment modalities (highly desirable)
Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, families, church groups, and volunteers.
Willingness to support Fresh Start’s Christian approach and programmes.
Formal qualification in leadership, management, finance or similar.
Ability to:
Have genuine empathy for individuals battling addiction.
Show exemplary leadership guided by integrity and transparency.
Be proficient in crisis management and decisive problem-solving skills.
Translate goals into tangible outcomes.
