Disability Support Worker

Dignity Home Care Services – North Lakes QLD

We are seeking Disability Support Workers to join our dedicated team at Dignity Home Care Services, for immediate start in the suburbs of North Lakes, and Brisbane for variety of shifts. This is a position where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and individualised care to our clients living with disabilities.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
• Accompanying clients to appointments, social activities, and community events
• Implementing personalised care plans to support each client's unique needs and goals
• Monitoring and reporting on client progress and wellbeing
• Promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life for every client
• Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety standards

What we're looking for

• Participants seeking female Support Workers
• Previous experience providing disability support or community care services and or experience working with clients with a spinal cord injury is highly desirable
• Minimum 1 year of disability support experience required
• A passion for making a positive difference in the lives of people with disabilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy, and a person-centered approach
• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a caring team
• A valid driver's license and your own reliable vehicle (required)
• A Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification (or working towards)
• Currently enrolled candidates for Certificate III in Individual Support are acceptableBlue Card
• NDIS Worker Screening (yellow card)
• NDIS Worker Screening application in progress is acceptable at time of application
• National Police check
