We have an incredible opportunity available for a Financial Project Lead to join our finance team!
The Role You Could Play
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Project Lead will provide expertise and support on business improvements and accounting systems. You will be responsible for leading and contributing to significant business projects, providing strategic advice on major projects such as an ERP implementation as well as driving continuous improvement opportunities with automation.
The key responsibilities include:
Provide strategic advice and drive continuous improvement opportunities
Oversee finance aspect of ERP replacement project, from gathering requirements to system implementation
Prepare and maintain documentation and training materials on financial application processes and procedures
Provide support and training and assistance to Finance team members and broader business on the use of the financial systems
Supporting the resolution of issues with applications support team with business process knowledge
Troubleshooting and working through various finance system related issues as they arise
Supervise and mentor Project accountant, providing guidance and support to ensure their success
What You Will Bring
You will have 5+ years of professional accounting experience, ideally within a professional services firm and have worked in large business, as well as experience project managing finance transformation initiatives and strong systems knowledge.
You will be confident in dealing with various stakeholders and have the ability to train other staff along with an analytical mindset, the ability to meet tight deadlines, work under pressure to solve problems while communicating and simplifying finance systems queries.
You will also need to have the following skills/experience:
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Navision software or other large ERP
CA/CPA Qualification
Experience with system implementation and training
Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel skills
SQL knowledge would be advantageous
