We're thrilled to announce an opening for a Merchandise Director, a crucial role within our highly successful Merchandising department. This is a full-time position, based at our headquarters in Burleigh Heads, QLD.
The ideal candidate will not only showcase exceptional leadership skills but also demonstrate a proven track record of surpassing targets. We are seeking an individual who possesses an in-depth understanding of our customer base and is committed to being a consistent advocate for our brand.
Your Core Responsibilities; Provide guidance, support and leadership to our AU Merchandise team to help them reach their full potential.
Oversee weekly AU Merchandise Operations ensuring all weekly processes and requirements are met, supporting effective and efficient business outcomes.
Direct the Buying and Design Teams to ensure optimal range and assortment planning.
Work closely with the Planning Director, Marketing, Creative and Supply Chain teams to implement merchandise strategies, key initiatives, and launches.
Conduct annual performance reviews, assist the Merchandise Management team in achieving Key Performance Objectives (KPOs), and cultivate a positive work environment that fosters growth while upholding our core values.
Oversee collections and events in partnership with US Merchandise Manager and Buying teams to ensure a unified brand experience.
Promote strong collaboration within the Merchandise team and across other departments.
Desired Skills & Experience; Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business Administration or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in merchandise management within the retail fashion industry.
Demonstrated leadership skills with a proven track record of effectively managing teams and nurturing a positive work culture.
Proficiency in data analysis to evaluate supplier/brand performance and make informed decisions.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a talent for working cross-functionally and building solid relationships.
Passion for fashion, sustainability and innovation within the fashion industry.
Strong attention to detail coupled with a strategic mindset, enabling effective multitasking and prioritisation in a fast-paced environment.
