Telstra Account Director

Australia

About the company:

Our client is a global leader in networking solutions, providing cutting-edge technology and services that transform the way businesses communicate and operate. With a focus on innovation and customer satisfaction, the company enables organizations to build adaptive networks that are both efficient and resilient.

Job Description:

The company is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Director to lead their expansion efforts in the Australia/New Zealand (ANZ) region, with potential extension to Singapore. This individual will play a critical role in driving revenue growth by effectively penetrating key accounts, particularly Telstra and Telstra International, and expanding their presence within the telecommunications market.

Telstra is a key account of my client and hence previous experience selling complex network software to them is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Account Management: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to grow our client's presence within Telstra and Telstra International, focusing on both existing and potential opportunities.

Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the ANZ territory, leveraging the company's portfolio of networking solutions to address customer needs and drive revenue growth.

Relationship Building: Cultivate strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders at Telstra and Telstra International, including executives, decision-makers, and influencers, to position our client as a trusted partner and advisor.

Pipeline Management: Drive the sales process from lead generation to deal closure, effectively managing the sales pipeline and ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.

Collaboration: Work closely with internal cross-functional teams, including Sales Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, and Finance, to align sales strategies with business objectives and drive customer success.

Market Insight: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer challenges, providing valuable insights and feedback to inform product development and go-to-market strategies.

Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.

Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in enterprise sales, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.

Extensive experience selling networking solutions or related technology products/services within the telecommunications industry; familiarity with Telstra and Telstra International preferred.

Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop and execute complex sales strategies in a competitive market.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively influence and persuade key stakeholders.

Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team to achieve exceptional results.

Willingness to travel as needed within the ANZ region, with potential travel to Singapore.

Please ignore any quoted salary details - this role is negotiable.
